Tap Journals -Thursday, September 3rd

Each year our festival proudly presents masters, legends and artists with direct links to the icons of tap. Our focus for 2009 is on two artists who are truly larger-than-life. The first is a living legend himself: Arthur Duncan, who will personally share highlights, insights and stories of his remarkable career. The second is the amazing Broadway, MGM and TV star Eleanor Powell, featured in a unique must-see presentation by Terry Brock, who has intimate links to the “Queen of Tap Dancing.” Brock’s kismet-like association will be shared in “Tap and Hollywood: The Golden Days of Tap" which includes a DVD of interviews, photos, and personal anecdotes, which have never been seen before.
