Tap Festival
Vancouver Tap Dance Society proudly presents...
The 10th Annual Vancouver International Tap Festival 2009
The Vancouver Tap Dance Society is thrilled to invite you to join us in this exciting and memorable anniversary celebration - the best tap dance festival ever staged in Vancouver, the Olympic City!
VTDS strives to be an innovative leader in promoting tap dancing and raising awareness of this wonderful art form. Our dancers, staff and board of directors have forged highly productive working relations and lasting friendships with the truly amazing list of renowned artists and master teachers who have given so much of themselves and graced our city for a decade now.
Their continued support - and yours - has helped shape our ongoing efforts to share the rich history of tap, as well as introduce new works, produce outstanding concerts and deliver an inspired, comprehensive training program.
Along with producing the spectacular events in the program you hold in your hands we are also taking advantage of the largest gathering of Canada's Tap Dance community by staging the first-ever national forum: "Rising Tide: Canadians in Tap Conference," leading up to the festival (Sept1-3).
